Spanish Club + Engineering Leadership

Our first Spanish Club meeting was held a few weeks ago, and since then, we’ve had another meeting and a small event. I’d go into detail about them, but the point of this post is to discuss my personal growth with the club. Before this, I hadn’t taken on any major leadership roles solely out of fear and lack of confidence, and through finding my passions (learning Spanish being one of them), I have built a strong foundation of confidence and a desire to be better for myself and others, and this has made an immeasurable difference in my involvement. I also applied for and was accepted into an engineering leadership club that, along with providing fun and informational events for its members, matches students with mentors who graduated with the same degree and who are working in the students’ fields of interest. I am especially excited for this and for the advice and experiences that my mentor will be able to share with me.
